Top 5 BANNED Foods (Are They In Your House?)
Written by A Ahmad on Friday, 22 August 2014 at 13:50
It turns out that a lot of banned
foods end up in our grocery cart and contain hidden toxic chemicals that
increase your risks of disease and storing belly fat.
Every day, Americans eat tons of
dangerous banned ingredients, and chances are you’re one of them. I
don’t mean to scare you, but to simply tell you the truth.
I’ve spent the last 7+ years
researching how our food is made, and discovered dark secrets I have to
tell the world, even if it makes me the most HATED expert by the big
companies.
Here’s my top 5 banned ingredients that end up in most plates:
1) Ractopamine (in pork)
It’s banned in the European Union,
China, and Taiwan, but Consumer reports found this dangerous drug in
20% of all pork products. Oh, and as a side note, recent studies also
found that 81% of all supermarket meats in the US are contaminated with
antibiotic-resistant bacteria which damage your gut flora and slow down
your weight loss.
2) rBGH (in milk)
While Canada, Australia, New
Zealand, Japan, Israel and all European Union countries banned the use
of rBGH, this hormone used to increase cows’ milk product is still used
in all 50 states. The use of rBGH increases the levels of IGF-1 hormone
in the milk by at least 6 folds, increasing risks of various cancers.
3) GMOs (in almost everything)
Over 50 countries require labeling
of GMO foods, and many of them banned GMOs altogether. In the US, GMO
foods are NOT labeled, even if 91% of the population feels like they
should be. And because 90% of all soy, corn, canola and sugar (sugar
beet) in the US is now GMO, Americans eat their weight in GMO foods each
year.
The first-ever lifetime feeding
study on the potential health risks of GMOs was published in September
2012. The results of feeding rats GMO corn for two years were very
scary:
- Some rats developed massive tumors that represent 25% of their body weight
- Liver damage was up to 5 times higher in the GMO group than in the non-GMO group
- Female rats that ate GMOs had a 3X higher risk of premature death
4) Potassium Bromate (in bread)
Called a cancer threat by the CSPI
since 1999, banned from dozens of countries, this ingredient is still
used in bread these days.
5) Chloramphenicol (in honey)
This antibiotic used on honey bees
has been banned in the US for years, but can still be found in cheap
supermarket honey (along with heavy metals) that comes from China. The
concerning thing is that a recent study found that 75% or more of all
the honey in the U.S. may be Chinese honey sold as American honey.
Scary, I know. But I know you want
to learn the dirty truth about food, and to make the right choices. You
can do just that here:

Java Continues to be Hackers' Darling :::
Written by A Ahmad on at 13:48
Java’s ubiquity combined with its propensity to stay out of
date on a large chunk of its install base makes it an ideal target for
hackers. This is enough to ensure that whenever the subject of
third-party software vulnerabilities crops up for discussion Java is
somewhere at the top of the ensuing list of those most vulnerable.
According to the latest volume of Microsoft’s Security Intelligence Report, Java was responsible for the largest number of attacks in the first half of 2011.
During this period, attackers mounted millions of attacks to
exploit the large number of vulnerabilities present in Java Runtime
Environment (JRE), Java Virtual Machine (JVM), and Java SE in the Java
Development Kit (JDK). If we go back even further to the start of the
the third quarter of 2010, Microsoft’s antimalware technologies came
face to face with as many as 27 million attacks targeting Java
vulnerabilities from then to the end of the second quarter of 2011. That
leaves us with a quarterly average as high as 6.9 million during that
one year period.
“Many of the more commonly exploited Java vulnerabilities
are several years old, and have had security updates available for them
for years,” wrote Tim Rains, a director at Microsoft's Trustworthy
Computing Group, in a blog post
Tuesday. “This illustrates that once attackers develop or buy the
capability to exploit a vulnerability, they continue to use the exploit
for years, presumably because they continue to get a positive return on
investment.”
iPhone vs Android – Which Is Better And Why?
Written by A Ahmad on at 13:45
Smartphones have become a basic part of life for people around the
planet. Over a billion smartphones are expected to be purchased in 2014
alone. 90% of the smartphone market is occupied by either Apple’s
iOS-running iPhones or smartphones powered by Google’s Android operating
system. Deciding which of these two is right for you is the big
question when you decide that you want to buy a new smartphone. It’s
time to pick a side. Lifegooroo is here to give you all of the info on
the great iPhone vs Android smartphone debate.
Operating System
Apple’s iOS is designed in-house by the same people responsible for the hardware on the phones. The device and how it runs are very well-matched. The drawback is that Apple tends to keep an iron grip on what kind of software is available and how it can be used on its phones. All of the files you add to your iPhone have to pass through iTunes and only iTunes.
Android on the other hand is a completely open platform. There are no restrictions on how you add information to your phone or on where you can download software from.
Advantage: Android, but it’s close
Size
iPhone represents the smallest and sleekest models on the market. But what you sacrifice for ease of use is lost on screen size.
Android phones have grown to the point where they have become almost indistinguishable from tablets. This is a bad thing and a good thing. The good thing is that the screen size on these larger model Android phones allows for great video display and screen use. For example, it’s much easier to type on a keyboard on an Android phone that takes up two more inches than the keyboard on a 4-inch iPhone. The bad thing about Android phone size is the awkwardness of it. They aren’t easy to fit in your pocket and you will have a hard time taking a selfie on a phone that you have to hold with two hands.
Advantage: Draw
Apps
Apps are what make your phone really valuable to you, so picking the right type of phone for you depends on your stance on apps.
The apps on the iPhone are more secure but there also aren’t as many of them. Developers have been focusing on developing their iOS apps before they think about Android, so the latest apps usually come out on iPhone well before they appear on Android phones.
There is also an issue of security on Android phones. Because developing on the Android operating system is much more open, it is open to less reputable developers and that means there are more dubious products on the Play Store. With careful investigation you can steer clear of these apps, but it does mean an added level of effort on your part.
Advantage: iPhone, but it’s close
Price
The iPhone’s three current options can be expensive. Depending on where you live, there may be different package deals that can make it more affordable. The iPhone 5C is specifically designed to compete with cheaper Android phones.
The Android phones cover a much wider range of prices. Depending on how much you want to spend, you can find phones as pricy as the best iPhone or some that are considerably cheaper. The competition between Android phone makers keep the prices low.
In either case adding a SIM card will cost extra.
Advantage: Draw
Either way you decide to go, it will depend on what matters most to you in a phone. Ultimately, the choice is yours…

Top Tips For Awesome Computer Maintenance
Written by A Ahmad on at 13:39
Replacing a computer can be an expensive, time-consuming and annoying
hassle. Spare yourself all the trouble of shopping for a new computer
by keeping the one you already own in tip top shape. Here are some easy
to use ideas for making sure you make you computer last as long as
possible.
Stay Healthy:
The internet is great, but any computer connected to it needs to have
some kind of protection or else you run the risk of being exposed to
viruses, trojans, spyware, malware, and phishing scams. These problems
not only have the potential to harm your computer: your identity and
sensitive personal data are all at risk as well. Protect yourself and
your computer by installing both a good antivirus program and some
spyware detection software.
Dirty Work: An important part of keeping your computer running for as long as possible is making sure it stays clean. Computers that are full of dust and grit tend to overheat, especially when if the computer’s fans get clogged. When your computer gets too hot, your motherboard fries. This is a total failure state you want to avoid. Make sure you physically get inside your computer from time to time and clean out anything that has built up in there.
Junk Files: One of the first things you can do when you buy a new computer is to uninstall all of the junk files or bloatware that has come packaged with it. These programs tend to never be useful and slow down your computer’s performance. Over time, they will seriously affect your computer’s ability to run well. Take off any programs you know you will never use as soon as you see them. You should also uninstall any programs that you may have installed yourself but that you don’t use anymore.
Power Protection: Problems with the electricity source you’re plugged into can severely affect your computer. Blackouts, brownouts and power surges can all cause damage to a computer, maybe even destroy it. Never plug your computer into a socket without using a surge protector. You may also want to have your computer hooked up to a UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply), this way if the power ever cuts out, your computer won’t lose any data or functionality.
Stay Updated: Updates are essential for running your computer’s hardware and software after their initial release. Errors and vulnerabilities are constantly being addressed by updates that contain fixes to these problems. You should always click “Install” whenever a program says that it’s time for you to update your computer. Though sometimes updates come with bugs of their own, the risk of going without fixes for known problems far outweighs the chance that an update might be glitchy.
Follow these steps, and your computer will be running as fast as it did when you ripped it out of it’s brand new box.
If you took care of the above, then you are ready to install PC Health Boost. This cheap program will help solve all of your computer problems AND keep future ones from happening as well as save you both the time and money it would cost you to get the same things done with an IT guy or a computer repair shop! If your computer is slow, you need to figure out what is wrong – and PC Health Boost will help you do that! So download it now to see what is wrong with your PC and take the necessary steps to make sure your machine is the best it can be!

How To Have Better Conversations With Women
Written by A Ahmad on at 13:32
Walking up to a beautiful woman out of nowhere and introducing yourself is one of the hardest parts of being a man. In fact, it takes so much out of you that, a lot of the time, you forget the next important step of the conversation: Actually having something to talk about.
Luckily, if you follow these tips you won’t have a problem maintaining a conversation with a woman.
Tip 1: Non-Verbals are Important
More than anything else, non-verbal cues are
what distinguish a good conversation from a bad one. If you’ve ever seen
two people really hitting it off from across the bar, you can tell
they’re into each other right away. It doesn’t matter if the actual
discussion they’re having is about quantum physics or a debate on the
value of the Earnest movies, the fact that they’re into each other is evident with how they move together.
In the same way, when talking to a woman you
want to make her feel comfortable and project that you’re a confident
man. A great pickup artist once told me that the correct way to approach
any girl in a conversation is to have it in your mind that she’s
already told you that she’s going to sleep with you later that night.
That way, in your head at least, there is
absolutely no pressure. Since it’s going to happen anyway (in your head,
remember) you can talk about anything you want and can be more
comfortable. However, talking in a comfortable pose (remember:
non-verbals) can often lead to that fantasy scenario actually coming
true.
Tip 2: Talk about your passions
Mystery has said it in the past: “Enthusiasm
breeds enthusiasm.” So if you are passionate about something, don’t be
afraid to show it. Now, there is a fine line to take here, you don’t
want to needlessly steer the conversation into the direction of your
passions all the time but if you happen to start to talk about
the stock market, and that’s something you’re truly passionate about,
don’t be afraid to show it. Women are always looking for men to show
their emotions, and passion is one.
Tip 3: Playground mentality
Go into the conversation with a “playground
mentality”, as in, feel free to tell stupid jokes or give her strange
high-fives here and there. By using that 3rd grade humor,
you’ll get her to feel comfortable in the conversation, which is one of
the most important parts. As long as you show her you’re a fun guy, no
need to keep a sourpuss on your face like some emo rock star, then
she’ll be more apt to want to talk to you again down the line.
Tip 4: Don’t ask too many questions
While women love to talk about themselves,
and the easiest way to do this is by badgering them with a bunch of
questions, too much can lead to the conversation feeling like an
interrogation. Instead, after she’s answered an initial question, feel
free to follow that up with a statement.
For example, after you ask her if she has any
pets, and she mentions she has three cats, don’t go right into the
question about what their names are. Once you found that out, there’s
not a whole lot of places to go with the conversation. Instead, say
something like “I heard that cat lovers are more inclined to be
independent than dog lovers” which will open up the conversation a bit
and get her to talk about herself without her feeling like you’re putting her under the hot spotlight of the interrogation room.
Tip 5: Lengthen your answers
When she asks a bit about yourself, try to
lengthen the answer a bit instead of just answering the question
directly. While there’s a fine art of doing this, you don’t want to give
too much away, remember, as that will take away a lot of the mystery
surrounding you, it is better to give a longer answer than a shorter one
in most cases.
For example, if she asks you what you like, a
good answer is not to say “I like baseball.” Instead, answer like this:
“I like baseball because it reminds me of the time my dad spent playing
catch with me in the yard, building our father-son connection”. From
there, the conversation can go into all sorts of places and you’ve also shown your soft side by opening up a bit about your feelings. Win-win!
Tip 6: Use cold reads
The art of cold-reading is important. In it,
you use clues from either how she’s standing, what she’s wearing, or
what she’s talking about to make correct assumptions about her. It’s
going to take some practice, but generally speaking if you’re getting a
feeling about a girl, you’re going to be right about it.
For example, if she continues talking about a
large amount of ex-boyfriends, tell her that she “seems like the type
of girl who has a hard time settling down because she craves too much
excitement out of life”. Not only will you show her that you’ve been
paying attention this whole time to the conversation, but also now the
conversation can once again be about her, a topic no woman doesn’t
enjoy.

20 Windows 7 Tweaks & Tips – Every Secret Uncovered to Date
Written by A Ahmad on at 13:17
Windows 7 Keyboard Shortcuts
Let's kick off with keyboard shortcuts – the first thing every power user must memorize with working with a new operating system. In Windows 7, we’ve uncovered several new sets of essential time-saving shortcuts that will make your mouse jealous with neglect.Alt + P
In Windows Explorer, activate an additional file preview pane to the right side of the window with this new shortcut. This panel is great for previewing images in your photos directory.Windows + + (plus key)
Windows + - (minus key)
Windows + Up
Windows + Down
If a window is not maximized, pressing Windows + Up will fill it to your screen. Windows + Down will minimize that active window. Unfortunately, pressing Windows + Up again while a window is minimized won’t return it to its former state.Windows + Shift + Up
Similar to the shortcut above, hitting these three keys while a window is active will stretch it vertically to the maximum desktop height. The width of the window will however stay the same. Pressing Windows + Down will restore it to its previous size.Windows + Left
Windows + Right
Windows + Home
This shortcut performs a similar function to hovering over a window’s peek menu thumbnail in the Taskbar. The active window will stay on your desktop while every other open application is minimized. Pressing this shortcut again will restore all the other windows.Windows + E
Windows + P
Manage your multiple-monitor more efficiently with this handy shortcut. Windows + P opens up a small overlay that lets you configure a second display or projector. You can switch from a single monitor to dual-display in either mirror or extend desktop mode.Windows + Shift + Left
Windows + Shift + Right
If you are using two or more displays (and who isn’t, these days?), memorize this shortcut to easily move a window from one screen to the other. The window retains its size and relative position on the new screen, which his useful when working with multiple documents. Utilize that real estate!Windows + [Number]
Programs (and new instances) pinned to your Taskbar can be launched by hitting Windows and the number corresponding to its placement on the Taskbar. Windows + 1, for example, launches the first application, while Windows + 4 will launch the fourth. We realize that this is actually one key-press more than just clicking the icon with your mouse, but it saves your hand the trouble of leaving the comfort of the keyboard.Windows + T
Windows + Space
This combo performs the same function as moving your mouse to the bottom right of the Taskbar. It makes every active window transparent so you can view your desktop. The windows only remain transparent as long as you’re holding down the Windows key.Ctrl + Shift + Click
Hold down Ctrl and Shift while launching an application from the Taskbar or start menu to launch it with full administrative rights.Ctrl + Click
Hold down Ctrl while repeatedly clicking a program icon in the Taskbar will toggle between the instances of that application, like multiple Firefox windows (though not browser tabs).
